I was attracted to this 1970 citizen watch by the rounded square case shape and the unusual date position. The dial was a curious design, with a metallic silver texture with some black lines separating the dial into some sections. There were loads of problems with the dial. One of the hour markers (4) fell off as I was prepping so I changed the design to make the most of the extra space, placing a Geisha figure there as the focal point of the watch. I wanted to add some soft color into the landscape so went with a Sakura scene and a baby blue lake behind the fence (which followed one of the black sections made by the lines on the dial. Paired with a salmon colored leather strap to match the Sakura 🌸 cherry blossom
