A Self- taught artist from Sunderland, UK, I live and work in Shanghai China. This site is the catalogue of my artwork.

I mainly paint oil paintings, though I have explored multiple media, including vector drawing on social media, Chinese-style gouache on paper to painting on products or objects such as watches.

I'm interested in the themes of contrast and tension within society and cultures, mixing traditional and modern, and subversion. I like to try and draw out some beauty in the normal, and to communicate messages and ideas without alienating the viewer.

My main influences are Old masters, 20th Century Surrealists and Asian art.
