This selection of paintings is the first time i've created a series of paintings in line with a theme, for an exhibition. The concept is; I have chosen to try and do two things with each painting;

1- capture some essence of the character of the subject (who are all women)

2 - reflect some aspect of Chinese (Shanghainese?) culture as we approach 2020.

Most were painted much more quickly than my more usual pieces.
