The first vintage watch i bought was from the Shanghai watch company. Named after the city, these watches were once seen as an equivalent to Rolex. I wanted to make the most of the Shanghai logo and represent the feeling of the city, in a similar way to some of the street perspective paintings i've done on canvas. This is the first watch in which i've done perspective that disappears into the centre of the watch. The impressionist style helps to convey the mixture of messy and pristine that is a theme of mine too. A limited color palate keeps the watch unisex.
