The graffiti style here represents the chaos, while the red traditional symbols of britain represent order (and tradition). Britain has the potential to be a wonderful country, but has (in my view) lost it's way recently as domestic problems have been neglected, populism has risen and with it the poisonous trends of xenophobia. I painted this during the 2024 riots where the underlying anger that has been bubbling away for decades spilled out as people rioted and attacked places associated with immigration. I feel that this kind of reaction is counterproductive to the approach needed to resolve global challenges, as well as ignorant of Britain's past.
