While many mega-cities have a recognisable man-made skyline, Tokyo is a little different. By far and away the most iconic image of the world's biggest city is the beautiful active volcano that dominates the image. To me this represents the power of nature over man, and a reminder to respect the power of the planet. Japan has suffered numerous natural disasters, with earthquakes so common that many japanese people apparently demolish a house after purchasing it so it is rebuilt with the latest earthquake technology. As natural disasters incease due to climate change, it's a reminder of how destructive these can be. The style I chose was an anime style, which is an iconic art form within the land of the rising sun.
